South African forward Kobamelo Kodisang has officially joined Portuguese side AFS,
marking his return to familiar territory after previous stints with SC Braga B and
Moreirense. The 25-year-old was unveiled on Thursday evening, expressing excitement
about being back in a country where he feels at home.

“It is as if I never left,” Kodisang said, emphasizing his comfort and readiness to
contribute to his new club.

The Bafana Bafana international enjoyed a productive spell at Moreirense, recording 14
goals and eight assists in 67 appearances. Now, he’s eager to help AFS improve after
the club narrowly escaped relegation last season.

Kodisang acknowledged the competitiveness of the league and the need for
consistency. “We can not predict results or where we’ll finish, but we must give everything,”
he stated.

Known for his strong work ethic, the Gauteng-born winger assured supporters of his
commitment on both ends of the pitch. “I always give my best, in attack and defence. I
don’t like disappointing the fans. If they support us, we must fight for them,” he said.

Kodisang emphasized the importance of teamwork, stating, “There are no individuals in
football; it is about the collective. If I give my best and the team does well, we all
succeed.”

His arrival brings renewed hope to AFS as they aim for a more stable and successful
campaign.
