Lucas Ribeiro has penned a heartfelt message to Mamelodi Sundowns, expressing his gratitude as he bids farewell after two memorable years with the club.
Reflecting on his journey, Ribeiro said he gave his all “on and off the field” to represent the Tshwane giants with pride. He described his time at Sundowns as “incredible and full of emotions,” highlighting how the experience shaped him not only as a footballer but also as a person.
The Brazilian forward reserved special praise for the Masandawana supporters, acknowledging their unwavering love and support: “Your support and love meant so much to me, and I will never forget you… the goals, the assists, the trophies, and the magical nights with you made me feel at home.”
Ribeiro also extended his appreciation to the coaching staff and his teammates, whom he called his “second family,” thanking them for their role in the club’s successes and the bonds they created.
Although he regrets not being able to say goodbye in person, Ribeiro emphasized that his affection for the club and its supporters is “endless.”
“Playing for Sundowns and living this beautiful culture has been such a great honor for me,” he wrote, concluding his message with gratitude to South Africa and the club that gave him unforgettable memories.
