Floyd remains MKP amid creating a political party

Former MK Party Secretary-General, Floyd Shivambu has briefed the media on June 19 at the Mhulu Luxury Boutique Hotel in Midrand. He announced that he would embark on a listening session to determine wheter South Africans are interested in a new political party.
“We will be seeking wisdom of ordinary South Africans on the need to form a new political party,” he said. On the ordinary he included traditional healers, church leaders, and prominent people like Patric Motsepe, Irvin Khoza, and Michael Nkuna.

The now ordinary member of the MK Party answered questions asked about his political move. He publicly told the media, “I have not resigned from uMkhonto weSizwe, I will never resign from uMkhonto weSizwe.”
Mentioning that he has learned a lot from former President Jacob Zuma. His statement of staying at uMkhonto weSizwe Party amid launching a political party vouch to his learning experience and eyeing for dual membership. As Zuma is a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and a president of the MKP.
