Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso remains steadfast in turning Wednesday’s crushing 4–0 semifinal loss to PSG at the Club World Cup into a building block for future success. Spanish champions were undone by a lightning-quick start from PSG, conceding twice within ten minutes and trailing by three at halftime. Fabian Ruiz struck twice, joined by Ousmane Dembélé, before Gonçalo Ramos polished off the rout late on.
