Political activist Acinta Ngobese Zuma has announced plans for a nationwide march on November 7, 2025, describing it as a defiant stand against perceived oppression by the courts and government policies that, she claims, undermine the interests of South African citizens.
In a video shared on social media, Ngobese Zuma urged citizens to Put South Africans First, calling for greater attention to issues such as immigration control, resource distribution, and the protection of national sovereignty.
The activist expressed frustration over what she termed judicial overreach and policy failures, arguing that government institutions have neglected the needs of local communities in favour of external interests.
Ngobese Zuma stated that South Africans are being sidelined in their own country. “Our resources, opportunities, and future must serve our people first not outsiders or political elites,” she said.
While details of the march’s route and organisers’ logistics remain under discussion, the planned demonstration has already drawn both support and criticism. Some social commentators have praised the call as a legitimate expression of frustration over economic inequality, while others have warned that the rhetoric risks fueling xenophobic sentiment.
Authorities have yet to comment on security preparations for the protest. However, police sources confirmed that permits and safety measures will be reviewed ahead of the march to ensure compliance with public demonstration regulations.
The November 7 march is expected to take place in major cities including Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Durban, marking another flashpoint in South Africa’s increasingly polarised political climate.
