Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung is extending his influence beyond the pitch, using his passion for golf to drive social change. As he celebrates his 55th birthday, Motaung is preparing to expand the Bobby Motaung Foundation, which is dedicated to empowering communities through education, health, spirituality, and social development.
Speaking on SABC Sport, Motaung revealed plans to launch new initiatives supporting TVET colleges across South Africa. He emphasized the foundation’s commitment to addressing key community challenges without claiming to be experts just people willing to help.
A major highlight for the foundation will be an upcoming charity golf day, which will double as both a birthday celebration and the official launch of a nationwide outreach campaign. More than a social gathering, the event aims to raise funds and spark meaningful dialogue among leaders, including politicians and business figures.
For Motaung, golf is more than a hobby it’s a platform for networking and building solutions. He hopes the event will inspire collaboration and generate ideas to support communities and churches dealing with pressing issues.
As he steps into a new chapter of his life, Motaung remains committed to using both his voice and influence to make a lasting impact on and off the fairway.
