Davido and his wife, Chioma, have proven that love truly conquers all. This comes after the Afrobeat musician, whose real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, and Chioma Adeleke (née Rowland), celebrated their white wedding ceremony in a stunning event held in Miami on Sunday, August 10.

Following their official court wedding in 2023 and a traditional ceremony in June 2024, the couple went all out for their white wedding, reportedly spending approximately 3.7 million dollars on the event. Having been together for over a decade, Davido and Chioma have built a beautiful family that includes three children: their twins, and their late son Ifeanyi, who tragically drowned at the family’s residence in Lagos in 2022.

During the emotional exchange of vows, Chioma paid tribute to her husband, saying, “You are my love, you are my best friend, you are my calm in my storm. Nobody knows or loves us the way we do. I want you to know that today I am holding your hands, and I am going to walk with you forever.”

Despite facing intense public scrutiny and widespread criticism on the internet following the heartbreaking loss of their son, the couple has remained resilient and steadfast in their commitment to one another. Davido expressed his deep appreciation for Chioma, stating, “Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the most nervous I have ever been. You are my love, my peace, my home. You came into my life quietly and became the loudest and most beautiful part of it. You saw the real me, the me the world does not see, and you still choose me.”

Now affectionately known as CHIVIDO, the couple has received an outpouring of love and support from friends and family. A highlight of the day was Davido presenting Chioma with a luxurious Richard Mille diamond watch, valued at three hundred thousand dollars.
