Former Orlando Pirates coach José Riveiro, now at the helm of Egyptian giants Al Ahly, has expressed deep admiration for his former club following their thrilling victory over Mamelodi Sundowns.

Reflecting on the triumph, Riveiro highlighted what sets the Buccaneers apart in African football. “Pirates is a special club. The winning spirit there is unmatched players fight for each other, the staff is committed, and the energy is infectious. That is why they’ll keep lifting trophies even when I am gone,” he said.
