Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe is facing mounting allegations that she is in a romantic relationship with Ngwako Kgatla her special adviser. Who she is reportedly protecting from internal disciplinary action.

According to senior government sources, the adviser whose name is being withheld pending official comment was the subject of a pending disciplinary process related to alleged misconduct. However, Daily Maverick claim that the proceedings have been deliberately stalled under the minister’s watch.

It is reported that the disciplinary case has been sitting idle for months. It is an open secret in the department that the minister and the adviser are personally involved.

While the Department of Social Development has not yet issued a formal statement, questions are being raised about governance, ethics, and abuse of office. The allegations, if true, represent a serious conflict of interest and undermine the integrity of the ministry.
