Premier Soccer League newcomers Siwelele FC have confirmed the appointment of
former Orlando Pirates captain, Lehlohonolo Seema, as their head coach. The move
marks a significant return to top-flight football for Seema, who last managed
Sekhukhune United before departing at the close of the previous season.

Seema, known for his tactical acumen and leadership, boasts an impressive coaching
résumé. Over the years, he has led several PSL clubs, including Bloemfontein Celtic,
Chippa United, Black Leopards, Golden Arrows, Polokwane City, and Sekhukhune. His
wealth of experience is expected to guide the newly-formed club as they look to make
their mark in the league.

Initially, the coaching role was linked to former Mamelodi Sundowns mentor Rhulani
Mokwena, but he opted for a move to North Africa to take charge of MC Alger. This
opened the door for Seema’s appointment, which is being seen as a strategic step in
building a strong foundation for Siwelele FC’s future.

The club’s rise to the PSL Is already drawing comparisons to SuperSport United, who
carved out an enduring legacy in South African football through consistent
performances and nurturing local talent. With Seema at the helm, Siwelele FC aims to
follow a similar path, establishing themselves as a competitive force in the league.

This appointment signals the beginning of a new chapter for both Seema and Siwelele
FC, as they prepare to embark on their maiden PSL campaign.
