Zakes Bantwini celebrates being a Harvard graduate after successfully completing his degree

Congratulations are in order for Zakes Bantwini, whose real name is Zakhele Madida. Not only is the South African record producer and businessman celebrating his 9th anniversary with his wife, Nandi Madida, but he took to social media to show off his Harvard Business School certificate upon its successful completion.

Zakes began his education journey at the prestigious Harvard University in 2020. 5 years later, the 44-year-old has graduated with a degree in Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports. Madida adds to his portfolio of studies which include a diploma in Jazz and Music Performance which he completed at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as a Social Entrepreneurship Programme that he completed at Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria.

The grammy-award winning artist shared the news with his fans and reflected on what this milestone means to him, saying “Completing this executive education program at Harvard business school is more than a personal achievement; it’s a powerful statement about where African creatives belong, in every global conversation, in every boardroom, and at every table where the future is being shaped. Bucket list checked.”

His wife, Nandi Madida also wrote a heartfelt message congratulating and celebrating her husband’s achievements, adding that she feels inspired by him.
